Fourth European Symposium: River Rhine

The Fourth European Symposium took place onboard two boats on the River Rhine, 14-18 October 1988. The boat travelled through four countries (Switzerland, France, West Germany, Holland) where public meetings were held in Basel, Strasbourg, Bonn and Rotterdam. Workshops were held aboard the boats on the effects of nuclear war, civil defence, nuclear weapons testing, environmental problems, and international cooperation.
