Description

A Catalogue of Druids: with notes and oddments connected with Druids, Druidical religion, British antiquities, etc. Author's holograph MSS. Included among these fragments is an autograph letter dated 9 April, 1725 to the author from Michael Maittaire [1668-1747], classical scholar and writer on typography. It is in answer to a query from Stukeley about a Latin inscription: an incomplete 'Kalendar for the Year of Creation (April, May only): on Patriarchal Christianity, Druidical temples, and a tract on 'Alate temples' (13 ff.) dated 1762, with a pen-drawing of the temple of Neptune at Pylos. Produced in Stamford.
