About this work

Description

Wax therapy This picture shows a hand which has been dipped in a bath of hot wax. This procedure aims to improve the suppleness of dehydrated skin and thus prevent cracking and maintain mobility of the hand. Wax therapy is useful for improving skin condition prior to tendon transfer surgery. For routine care of dehydrated skin it is more practical to apply oil to the skin after soaking in water.
