The tinctures are made, not with equal parts of spirit 'of wine and water, as is usually the case, but with five parts spirit and three of water, in strict accordance with the directions of the London Pharmacopceia. Tinctures made in the ordinary manner, besides being of inferior strength, are liable to become thick, and to deposit much of .their active constituents; but when prepared with the proper proportions of spirit and water, they keep much better, and retain their efficacy for a greater length of time. The wines sold by the General Apothecaries’ Company are made with pure sherry, and are considered veiy superior to those generally sold. Terms—Three Months’ current Account—5 per cent, discount. Post Office Orders to le made payable, at Old Cavendish Stbeet Post Office, to the General Manager, Mr. Henry Home. Amounts under 20s. may le remitted in Postage Stamps. \ * T/ f
