Description
The calcium transient response to inositol during the development of a Drosophila embryo. The embryo was pre-injected in the vitelline space with tetramethylrhodamine (TMR), then injected with the Ca-sensitive dye calcium green. After the pole cells had formed it was injected with inositol triphosphate (IP3) and TMR dextran (a visible marker for IP3). Confocal images were recorded and IP3 injected after 50 sec. After 6 secs TMR start to fill periplasm. After a further 6-8 secs the calcium green signal increases. Part of image sequence B4056-4061.
