Papers include a paper, "The Aims and Objectives of the National Childbirth Trust" (1973), as well as a report on meeting of Executive Committee members re NCT objectives, 19 Aug 1972. Also includes papers on branches and restructuring, including a Specimen Constitution for Branches (1972), and Edinburgh Branch report of the Ad-hoc Committee on the need for restructuring; NCT Policy and Objectives paper, NCT Constitution (1971) and other related correspondence and papers. Also includes correspondence with the DHSS concerning a "Cycle of Deprivation" project.

File also includes drawings of breastfeeding positions, and drawings of the first and second stages of labour, 1983.

Following the 1972 AGM, the Executive Committee was asked to prepare a paper on the NCT's Aims and Objectives, in order to reach a better understanding of the key objectives of the Trust and how to put these into action.
