Black and white reproduction of an Indian physician captioned: Charaka. Ca. 500 B.C. Hindu physician, who was one of the principal contributors to Ayurveda, a system of medicine and lifestyle developed in Indian Subcontinent. Charaka [Caraka] is depicted seated and holding a vessel. The print is possibly photographed in situ on display in the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum.
