Nil PUBLIC HEALTH LABORATORY. Facilities are offered to all Medical Practitioners in the Administrative County, free of charge, for bacteriological examinations, and the services of the Pathologist and Bacteriologist are available for any other assistance which may be required in the diagnosis of cases of disease. The following table shows the number of specimens examined during the year and also in the previous year. The majority of the sputum tests were conducted for the Welsh National Memor- ial Association, whilst venereal diseases specimens for the most part came through the treatment centre at the Royal Grwent Hospital, Newport.
