    said subscription, and also by the Preseses or heads of such Societies as shall have respectively contributed Fifty Pounds Sterling or more, or yvho shall pay an annual subscription of Five Guineas', or more, after having been subscril^ers for one year, and as Ion- as they shall continue to pay the said subscriptions : And if at any time hereafter it shall happen that the whole number of Contributors of the above description shall be reduced below the number of Twenty, then the other Managers legally called to the management as aforesaid, with such number of Contributors as may still remain, if any such there shall be, shall nominate ten fit persons out of the above mentioned or other descriptions or classes of persons to make up the number of twenty five Managers, m whom the annual management is to be vested. And his Majesty further grants and declares, that the said James MacDowall, Esquire, the Right Honourable Hay Campbell, Lord President of the Court of Session in Scotland, William MacDowall of Gartland, Esquire, Member of Parliament for the City of Glasgow, Gilbert Hamilton, Esquire, Dean of Guild of the said City, James M'Lehose, Esquire, Convener of the Trades of the said City, Thomas Charles Hope, M.D., Professor of Medicine in the College of Glasgow, and President of the Faculty of Phy- sicians and Surgeons in the City of Glasgow, Robert Cleghorn, of Glasgow, M.D., George Oswald of Scotstown, Esquire, David Dale, Robert Scott Moncrief, Archibald Grahame, William Craig, Merchants in Glasgow, Thomas Reid, D.D., Professor of Moral Philosophy in the College of Glasgow, George Jardine, Professor of Logic in the said College, Robert Wallace, Alexander Dunlop, and Charies Wilson, Surgeons in Glasgow, shall take upon them- selves the management and direction of the whole affairs of the said Corporation, from the date of this Charter, till the first Monday in February, which will be in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety-three ; any seven or more of whom shall constitute a meeting, or quorum, for managing the funds of the said Incorporation in all matters and things, with power of adjournment as they shall see cause.
