About this work

Description

Collection of short tracts on urines, pulse, regimen, etc.: in Latin. Followed by medical receipts in German. By Several hands. The Latin portion of the MS. ends at fol. 64, and seems to be by the same hand eith headings and paragraph marks in red. The remainder contains the receipts, by several hands in German. The earliest of these before fol. 65 are dated at end 1501, those following are in later scripts of the first quarter of the 16th century. Ff. 2-37 On urines. Fol. 38 Virtus naturalis, virtus animalis, virtus vitalis. Ft. 39-43 De judicio pulsus. Fol. 45 De minutione sanguinis. 46 De medicina, de medicinis. Ff.56v-65 Regimen, etc. with some receipts: Latin and German: the last (fol. 65v) dated in red 1501. 66-end Receipts by various hands, in German.

Physical description

1 volume 95 ll. 4to. 21 x 15 cm. Loose in qriginal vellum binding over wooden boards, damaged: part of the metal clasp wanting. Modern foliation in pencil, from which it appears that a leaf is wanting after folio 10, and after fol. 45: two leafes after fol. 46; one after fol. 55 and fol. 57: three after fol. 64, and an unknown number after the last leaf. A large piece has beeb cut out of the lower part of fol. 43, and the first leaf is damaged.
