"Involuntary movements: This film displays the features of these two conditions Huntington's and Sydenham's chorea, caused by drugs. The hemiballismus resulted from vascular lesions and in one case from a metastases (12 min.) / Hemiballismus: A woman of 71 years with sudden onset of hemiballismus is shown. the film is of particular value in that labelled coronal sections of the brain are included to show the site of the lesion (5 min.) / Hemiballismus - stereotaxy: The violent unilateral movements after a presumed vascular lesion are well demonstrated in one patient. A second patient is shown with life-long hemiballismus following an insult in infancy. The dramatic effects of stereotaxic surgery in abolishing the movements are shown in a third patient. The film ends with an unusual case with bilateral involvement (6 min.) / Involuntary movements treated by tetrabenazine: The effect of tetrabenazine on the involuntary movements of four patients is shown. In two patients the involuntary movements were due to drugs, amphetamines in one and phenothiazines in the other.
