Description
Wholemount image of the head region in a zebrafish
embryo which has been stained to show
photoreceptors in the epiphysial region of the
diencephalon, part of the developing forebrain.
This is the region where neurons first develop in
the forebrain. The photoreceptors extend short
axons which join together at the site where they
exit the epiphysis.
