Description
Contains at the front a list of patients on trial with: date of leave, duration, patient's name, date of admission, leave expiry, folio number and remarks (for example if returned and the date).;Each folio gives the declaration form for each patient out on trial, signed by the Resident Medical Superintendent, containing the patients name, date of admission and where the patient was to be cared for and who by, and signed by the members of Committee stating the duration.

Biographical note
Under section 17 of 8-9 Victoria chapter 105, the Superintendent could, with consent in writing of two Management Committee members, 'send or take proper control any patient, to any specified place for any definite time, for the benefit of his health'.
