    Erysipelas.— Twenty-four cases of Erysipelas, of which i ended fatally, were notified during- the year, as compared with 17 in the previous year, 15 in 1909, 16 in 1907, and 22 in 1906. Puerperal Fever.—Three cases of Puerperal Fever were notified during- the year, compared with 2 in the previous year, and 1 in 1909 All 3 died, 2 before December 31st, and i after. Zymotic Diseases.—One hundred and nineteen deaths, 40 being- in infants under 1 year of ag-e, and 63 in children between i and 5 years, were attributed to the seven principal Zymotic diseases, equal to a rate of 41 per thousand, as compared with 32 in the pre\ ious year, 91 in 1909, 55 in 1908, and 74 in 1907. The subjoined table shows the number of deaths from each of these causes (from which it will be seen that all but 7 were due to Measles and Diarrhoea) for the past year, and the previous 10 years, and g-ives the rates per 1,000 of the population.
