Copy 1 Supplier/Donor: Sir W. Paton's executors Note: Incomplete: Pt. 4 (i.e. all after p. [332] wanting. Engraved and typographical title leaves damaged, with some text lost; both leaves repaired, with shifting of remaining paper so that the author's name appears as "Hobbs" and the "LL" of "Civill" is displaced. First 20 leaves damaged and fragile. Binding: 18th Cent.? calf, rebacked. Blind tooled spine, with gilt title: "Hobbs's Leviathan." From the library of Sir William Paton.
