Description

On the left the Virgin turns away from a book and with a downwards expression of modesty turns towards Gabriel and his retinue of child angels. He arrives, his hair windswept, in a billowing cloud, holding a lily. Above, the Holy Ghost and angels. In background right, two women (the Visitation?) and a man in a bishop's mitre, outside the house
