Possibly an antisemitic caricature. However, the 'ordonnance' (a familiar sight in caricatures from the July Monarchy) perched next to a gun, surrounded by signs of wealth and culture, perhaps indicates the corrupt domination of the bourgeoisie around this time, three years before the revolution
