About this work

Description

The Safe Motherhood project was a privately-funded initiative based in the northern state of Katsina, home to one of the highest rates of maternal mortality in Nigeria. The project sought to improve maternal and child health by implementing proven safe motherhood interventions that reduce risk at various phases of the maternal cycle, from prenatal to postpartum care. It ran from 2006 - 2008.
