Description

American soldiers loading artillery; analogous to the ravages of plague. Drawing by A.L. Tarter, 194-. The drawings of which this is one were produced for an educational film in Hollywood in the early 1940s, but the film was never made. The drawings show the transmission and effects of plague, especially the role of rats. Copyright in the drawings, if originally held by the artist, have been given to the Wellcome Trust.
