SOUTHAMPTON, The Jurors for our Lord the King, upon their oath, prefent that James Hill, otherwife James Hinde, otherwife James Adtzen, late of Portfea, in the County of Southampton, labourer,-on the 7th day of December, in the feventeenth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third, now King of Great Bri¬ tain, &c. with force and arms at Portfea afbrefaid, in the county aforefaid, twenty tons weight of hemp of the value of 100/. ten cable-ropes, each thereof being in length one hundred fathoms, and in circumference three inches, and of the value of 80/. and fix tons weight of cordage, of the value of 200/. the' faid hemp, cable- ropes and cordage, then and there, being naval ftores of our faid Lord the King, and then placed and depofited in a certain building in the dock-yard of our faid Lord the King there fituate, called the Rope-houfe, felonioufly, wilfully and malicioufly,- did fet on fire and burn, and c'aufe and procure to be let on fire and burnt, againft the form of the ftatutc in fuch cafe lardy made and provided, and againft the peace of our laid Lord the'KingJ his crown and dignity. • A-- B . - .
