    unrl, t.-covers, velvet-black, these coloui's separated on the breast by a narrow transverse band of brilliant violet.—Length 5 in. 3 lines. 9 Green ; w. and t. blackish-brown ; breast, belly, sides, and und. t.-covers, greyish-white, varied with black spots. Hal). Madagascar Briss.—Note. Standing near to N. splen- dida, bifasciat 1, &c. Known by descript, of Brisson and figure in Ois. Dor.
