Description

Adana is a large city in southern Turkey and a major agricultural, industrial and commercial centre. The city is situated on the Seyhan River, 30 kilometres (19 miles) inland from the Mediterranean Sea, in south-central Anatolia. The print shows in the background the Taurus Mountains, Turkish Toros Dağlari, a mountain range in southern Turkey, running parallel to the Mediterranean coast. In the foreground, a view of the Seyhan River with Tas Kopru (Stone Bridge). A few soldiers walk across the bridge; two minarets at the left
