    PREFACE. Most of the operations are arranged under the headings ' indications,' ' instruments,' ' anaesthesia,' 'method,' 'accidents,' 'after-treatment.' This renders the book of more use to house-surgeons and others whose duty it may be to prepare patients for operation and to take care of them afterwards.
