Matthew Baillie (1761-1823), anatomist: autograph letter, signed, to the physician and surgeon John Thomson (1765-1846). Baillie describes the family connections between William Hunter (1718-1783) and William Cullen (1710-1790), presumably replying to a request from thomson concerning the latter's work on his biography of Hunter (An account of the life, lectures and writings of William Cullen, Edinburgh: Blackwood; London: Cadell, 1832).
