Rubricated; some large decorative capitals in red, hand-drawn; a contemporary inscription on the first blank leaf records its donation to a Carthusian house (un-named) by the will of Helena de Steynfordia. On verso are some Latin stanzas written in the same hand. Binding: 15th century stamped leather (rebacked) with remains of metal clasps and evidence of bosses. Book label of William Morris Kelmscott House.
