How do you do this morning Mrs. Bare? Never you mind Mr. Bear. The northern ladies are so bold. They never mind excessive cold. But always bare the beauteous shoulder Altho' the weather can't be colder. And go about without much gear-o. When ther-mo-meeter's bee-low ze-ro. CMK [?]

Creator/production credits

Bears indistinct monogram of artist, possibly CMK with the C reversed. A "C.M.K." wrote the lyrics for the song 'In a leafy garden, ballad, (poetry by C.M.K) composed by George Loder'; the composer George Loder lived from 1817-1868, and lived in Bath, Baltimore, London and Australia. A "C.M.K." co-authored a Christian anthology for children, 'The children's morning text book arranged by C.M.K. and E.S.L. [Sacred verses for every day. With illustrations.]', Oxford: A.R. Mowbray, [1899]. A "CMK" owned an Indian painting subsequently in the British Museum, inscribed "Collection of CMK" with the C not reversed (British Museum no. 1880,0.2120)
