Description

Woodcut illustration from an edition of 1537 (16th year of Jiajing reign period of Ming dynasty). The heart channel of hand shaoyin originates at jiquan (Bourne Spring) and terminates at shaochong (Lesser Rushing). There are 9 acupoints on this channel, i.e. 18 altogether on both sides of the body. In order, these are: jiquan (Bourne Spring); qingling (Blue/Green Spirit); shaohai (Lesser Sea); lingdao (Spirit Path); tongli (Penetrating the Interior); yinxi (Yin Cleft); shenmen (Numinous Portal); shaofu (Lesser Palace); and shaochong (Lesser Rushing).
