Description
Complications: lagophthalmos with Bell's phenomenon
This is a patient with bilateral lagophthalmos due to facial nerve involvement in leprosy. She is unable to close her eyes fully but the corneae are protected by the Bell's phenomenon.
If the corneae remain exposed on attempted closure they are susceptible to trauma. It may be necessary to undertake surgical correction.
