Sympathy letters following the death of Mrs Wheler, Edward's mother; has been considering his "Measurement of resemblance"which he was now able to write down; discusses a copying machine invented by James Watt; states that my "Eugenics" has started on a revised scheme and that the laboratory is attached to Pearson's department at University College; family news. Publication Francis Galton by Heinrich Driesmans (translated by M E Coleridge, privately printed, 1903) with portrait by Eva Biggs. Inserted is a letter from Elizabeth Wheler to Edward with a glossary.
