Description

Manuscript letter. Sends photograph of a murderer for Galton's collection and provides details of the murder. Enclosures: envelope and a photograph of the man, Ladwalladen Jones (Maker: Evan Owen). Notes on the reverse: "murderer...most cold blooded...He had been married some months, and murdered the girl to whom he had previously promised marriage, having first dug out her grave. There was no quarrel - quite the contrary- illegitimate offspring by both women...the wife had a child a little after marriage and the murdered girl was with child by him".
