Two images on one negative: the first is a landscape photograph rotated to fit the page, with the caption "Egypt, the Nile" at the header and "The Step Pyramid of Sakkara. Showing the excavations now being made" at the footer, which is also known as the Pyramid of Djoser, an archaeological remain in the Saqqara necropolis, Egypt. The second is a photograph with the caption "Egypt and the Sudan" at the header, and "The temple of Deir el-Bahri" [Deir el-Bahari or Deir el-Bahri Site (Egypt)] at the footer. They are reproduced from Haggard, Howard W.: Devils, drugs, and doctors : the story of the science of healing from medicine-man to doctor New York : Blue Ribbon Books, [1929].
