This book tells the story of two young women who go through two different abortions (medical and surgical). It begins with the moment they decide to have abortions, and follows them through the process of choosing a clinic, reaching out to friends, partners, and family...and eventually the procedure itself. Hayes uses the graphic novel format to demystify what can be a very intimidating and often lonely experience. Like no other book out there, Not Funny Ha-Ha is a little bit technical, a little bit moving, and an often funny book intended to communicate and comfort.
