Black and white reproduction of a portrait of Richard Mead (1673-1754), English physician. The lettering underneath the rectangular framed portrait reads "Richardus Mead. M. D. Regis Magnae Britanniae Medicus Ordinarius, 1749". From the mezzotint by Bernard Baron (1696-1762) after A. Ramsay. Impression in the former Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and Library.
