About this work

Description

Right, outside the city of Delft, a woman (apparently, though Muller, loc. cit., says a monk) bangs on the door of the Lazarus house shouting "Delft brant" (Delft is on fire!). A man inside the house (also described by Muller as a monk) looks out of a window and says "Godt sij gelooft" (God be praised!)
