Description
The photograph shows beds down one side of the ward, with women patients in them; half a dozen nurses standing by the beds (five white and one black). There are Christmas crib figures on a table, a large model of Father Christmas standing in front of the fireplace, and cut-out letters on the wall saying "A merry Christmas". The patients wear headphones, presumably to listen to hospital radio
