This documentary follows 23-year-old Becky Measures as she becomes the youngest woman in Britain to have a preventative double mastectomy. Fourteen members of Becky's family have suffered from breast cancer so Becky undergoes a revolutionary genetic test to see if she has the same faulty gene that runs through her family. The test comes back positive, leaving Becky with an 85% chance of getting breast cancer. She takes a psychological assessment and discusses her operation with the surgeon who will remove her breasts and perform reconstructive surgery. We see a small amount of the operation itself and follow Becky as she makes a full recovery, having now reduced her chances of getting breast cancer to 7%.
