By Thomas Rowlandson? In 1798 he produced a caricature 'Bathing at Margate' of voyeurs enjoying the view of the sea-bathers from the cliff, and in 1813 another caricature 'Summer amusement at Margate, or a peep at the mermaids'. He also produced a smaller pair of pictures set in Margate, called 'Fresh water' and 'Salt water' (in Margate Museum, one said to be an aquatint and the other a watercolour, dated ca. 1800)
