On the right is a tripe-butcher's shop. In the centre a thin and rickety man sells execution broadsides inscribed "The last dying sp[eech]", with a print of bodies hanging from a gibbet; he may be derived from a figure in Hogarth's print The march to Tyburn in the series "Industry and idleness". On the left is a shop where prints are sold; among the prints on sale is one of the "Hottentot Venus" (British Museum Catalogue of satires no. 11577)
