Mary White/Mary Downing Cartwright her book: compiled originally by Mary White, note on cover "Desire by Daughter Mary Cartwright may have this Book".
Cookery, wine and household receipts (indexed) begin at one end in in a neat early eighteenth century hand, followed by further pages of mainly culinary recipes in other hands, possibly into the nineteenth century.
Medical receipts at the reverse end of the volume in different hands including that of Mary White, including a preventative for cholera.
