To the Chairman and Members of the Pickering Rural District Council LADIES & GENTLEMEN, I have the honour to present to you my Report on the health and sanitary conditions of your Area. SECTION A. Statistics and Social Conditions of the Area The Area of your District is 74,865 acres. The estimated resident Population is 5,401. The number of inhabited houses is 1,659. The Rateable Value is £18,249, which produces a Penny Rate, £75 : 0 : 0 nett. Social Conditions. The inhabitants of the District are mainly occupied in agricultural pursuits. Vital Statistics.
