About this work

Description

Photograph taken out of the window of a hotel bar on the 25th floor of a high-rise building in a big city. The lights from the external buildings combined with the reflection of the bar surface and glass bottles highlights the disorientated feeling an individual might experience after consuming alcohol. Alcohol enters the blood stream where it is transported around the body. When it reaches the brain it can interfere with signalling, blocking neurotransmitters, and in doing so it effects the communication between nerve cells, which can cause slurred speech, dizziness and impaired vision.
