Description
The warrior Kumagai Jirō Naozane after having taken monastic vows to atone for his killing young Prince Atsumou, seen depicted on the hanging scroll in the memorial shrine. His shaved head and garb indicate he has renounced the way of the warrior; he is recounting the story of the battle in which he killed the prince
