About this work

Description

Sita was banished to the forest after her abduction and rescue from Ravana, because there was doubt on her purity during her abduction. Although Rama believed his wife, he was forced by his people to banish her, even though she was pregnant with his sons. Some years afterwards when Rama was performing a horse sacrifice, he came across the twin sons, a fight occurred and only during this did Rama realise who they were. Sita came out of banishment and was reunited with her sons with Rama
