About this work
Description
A clinical film in three parts: the first part deals with pathological anatomy of the arteries in the leg; the second with clinical management and the the third with general and local management of intermittent claudication and severe ischaemia. Numerous cases are viewed with visible changes and differences to the physical appearance of the leg and foot. There is an interesting sequence where the correct method of folding hospital bed sheets around affected legs is shown. The amputation of toes is described and then shown operatively in close-up. More radical surgery on the whole limb is also shown. The correct dressing of the leg stump is demonstrated by two nurses.
