About this work

Description

The lungs are made of lots of very small alveoli, spaces where air and blood exchange gases. A few alveolar macrophages lie waiting, ready to jump into action to destroy foreign bodies and infection at the very port of entry. Cellular level art, paint on silk, digitised.
