About this work

Description

The round cucurbite with the moorshead helmet stands on an open fire on top of the stove. This may be due to ignorance on the part of the artist, or a sign for the fact that here the alchemist is a 'puffer'

A fish hangs from the ceiling. Strokes are carved in the walls, indicating dates. A man looks in through an open window
