About this work
Description
Dissected Drosophila larve showing the innervation of ventral muscles, highlighting the neuromuscular junctions that spread in a punctate pattern along the muscle fibres. Muscles and nerves are stained in red using an antibody that recognises Ankyrin 2. Postsynaptic terminals are shown in green, using green fluorescent protein (GFP).
