The following contains an interim description and might change once cataloguing takes place. Contains newsletters, abstract & programme books and journals that have come from meetings and conferences held by the organisation which are associated with developments within serotonin research. Newsletters are in paper formats up until 2004 where they were placed online after that date. Also contains letters regarding membership and administration.

Biographical note

The International Society for Serotonin Research (formerly known as the Serotonin Club) was founded in 1987 as a professional association for biomedical Scientists interested in research involving the neurotransmitter serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine). As of 2019, it has a membership of around 350 people worldwide and its members have consisted of some of the most renowned workers within the field.

The society holds an international meeting every two years with symposia and talks which acts as a showcase for all aspects of Serotonin research. They also hold annual networking events in conjunction with the Society for Neuroscience and the Federation of European Neuroscience Socities.
