Description
Gesarol was the brandname of DDT manufactured by J.R. Geigy in Basel. The name Gesarol-Gamma suggests Geigy's DDT combined with Kwizda's Lindane (the gamma-isomer of hexachlorcyclohexane or HCH). According to the Plant Protection Product Register of the Austrian Office for Food Safety, a license for Gammarol Supra Flüssig (possibly a related product) containing Lindane 800 g/l was granted to the firm F. Joh. Kwizda for use against Colorado beetle (Kartoffelkäfer) in 1959, the license was withdrawn in 1997, and stocks were to be sold by 4 December 1998
