    EDITOR’S PREFACE TO SECOND EDITION. Professor Haab’s admirable book requires no in- troduction, and the appearance of tliis second edition indicates that, as tlie editor hoped it wonld, the book has proved of use to those physicians and students who are specially interested in Ophthalmie work, particnlarly to those who have not the opportunity of frequently per- sonally examining patients who are afflicted with external ocular disorders. The Work has been revised and a cer- tain amount of new matter added, together with eight additional chromo-lithographic ]>lates. As in the first edition, editorial comments are plaeed in brackets, and care has been taken to make reference to some of the modern therapeutic agents which have in recent years been added to the ophthalmic surgeon’s armamentarium.
